Looking after staff is a major factor in ensuring that the children have optimum learning experiences.

Staff recruitment procedures in terms of the needs of the school teaching and learning program and staff induction programs.

Criterion #7: My school cares about me as a staff member and has reasonable expectations of me.
Criterion #8: My school was rigorous in taking me on.
Current school documentation and situation
Current school documentation contains details of staff recruiting procedures inclusive of predictions for new staff over the period 2016-2018. Note that the documentation contains key policies that can be perused by intending applicants, for example, the no gaps standards moderated mastery approach in the subjects to which this applies;
Current school documentation contains commitments to the well-being of the administrative staff, the teaching staff and the non-teaching staff.


Development objectives for 2016
Determine the new staff recruitment needs for 2017.
Update the SE database for the aligned SE criteria

·       Cost of preparing documents that are needed for the recruitment process, inclusive of stationery.

Planning to commence mid-year for new recruits for 2017

Advertise; check bona fides of applicants; interview the shortlist; contact referees;
Outcome(s) of the assessment of the attainment of the objective(s)
The principal to reflect with Deputies on the success of the previous year’s recruiting.  These reflections to be recorded in the appropriate IT file with recommendations for fine tuning the recruitment process.
The SE database for the aligned criteria shows that the recruitment met the needs of the school.
