School Development Plan (SDP) elements #7 & #8

Mention of NAPLAN in these elements should be familiar to any reader who has been following this blog recently.


SDP element #7
The teacher driven assessment program to ascertain student learning progress in the subjects/learning areas of the chosen curriculum and the associated data bases of student records, inclusive of NAPLAN testing and data bases.
Aligned SE criterion
Criterion #5: My school makes sure that as I progress I don’t develop gaps in my English Language, mathematics and digital skills learning.

Current school documentation
Guidelines for valid and reliable test construction; for the format of the data bases that show the path to mastery; and the use of computer technology to record the data are detailed in the relevant policy statement.
Guidelines for the NAPLAN testing program are detailed in the school documentation(see SDP element #8)
Development objectives for 2016
Induct new teachers into the assessment and data recording regime.

The NAPLAN assessment program : processes and practices

The NAPLAN processes and timetable(s) are clearly documented and need no adjustment at this time inclusive of the communications with parents about NAPLAN testing.
Development objectives for 2016
Induct new teachers into the NAPLAN processes.
